All students in the school competed a great week of Track and Field events. They learned how to throw a shot put and/or a discus, ran relays, did high and vertical jump, and hurdles. Well done, David Thompson!
At the beginning of the Semester, students were given an Activity Tracker to keep track of how they are being healthy outside of school. Any type of physical activity counts (30 minutes or more). Next Monday, students are being asked to bring back the completed Activity Tracker for the month of February. This assignment relates directly towards their Outcome 3 mark ( Explores and applies strategies for leading a healthy, active life). Here is a Google link for anyone you lost their sheet: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Mlk2QSsERoD-1SoCGT60yff9GaI9MvKvq-9XxfvWudc/edit?usp=sharing
-Students need to have a pair of sneakers for when they are playing in the gym. Winter boots do not support students in the way they need, especially when they are running and playing games, like volleyball, which some are currently are doing. Students can leave a pair of inside shoes in their classroom.
Last week, students completed the final activities of their modules. They start this week in all new modules including: Football, Cricket, Hockey and Health. We will remain to stay outside as much as possible. Please dress appropriately.
