At the beginning of the Semester, students were given an Activity Tracker to keep track of how they are being healthy outside of school. Any type of physical activity counts (30 minutes or more). Next Monday, students are being asked to bring back the completed Activity Tracker for the month of February. This assignment relates directly towards their Outcome 3 mark ( Explores and applies strategies for leading a healthy, active life). Here is a Google link for anyone you lost their sheet: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Mlk2QSsERoD-1SoCGT60yff9GaI9MvKvq-9XxfvWudc/edit?usp=sharing
Grade 7-9 students have continued to be active during and after their PE classes. As a fun way to share what they are doing, some classes are putting together a Google Slide presentation full of pictures that show them being active. Grade 5-6 students started online learning this week and were given a link with many ideas to stay active over the next two weeks. They can also be active in an other way they can think of! They keep track of all their activities in their Activity Tracker. The link below has ideas and an Activity Tracker. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-0PwC6-M3CHMrK6AhoghRLv_Q5sGZv52ANRcjSDK7a8/edit
Grade 5 students have been playing low organized games or hockey this week. Be sure to dress warm next week for some outdoor fun. Grade 6 students have been creating dances and playing 9 Square in the Air. Grade 7-9 students have been working out, focusing on mindfulness and doing some yoga this week. Each class we have been working on completing a Wellness Bingo. Try to complete at least 2 activities on your BINGO card this weekend!
